Re: 86 GN Powered Camaro back together.

Thanks.. :)

Here's a pic from last year...
The K-member and coil over conversion lowerd the front a bit (it's adjustable now too) but the exterior is unchanged other than changing the tires over to a ET Drag "Radial"

It's 250cid this year with the stroker crank and 6.325 K1 Rods. Hyd. roller cam.
Had the converter re-stalled. Seems just right now ;)

Here's a outside pic from last year.....

So I'm assuming this is a 109 motor, with GN1's? What cam, and what turbo? :)

Re: 86 GN Powered Camaro back together.

It is a 109 block with a girdle. I went with a mild Hyd. roller from Webber Racing 214/218 with mid 500 lift. On a 113lca.
They were wanting me to go with the 224 cam but I drive this a ton on the street and responce is my main focus.

The turbo is a 76GTQ. 4" inlet 3" outlet and the RJC 5" adaptor for 5"downpipe.

Thanks for the nice replys since this isn't really a Sy/Ty. ;)

I'd not seen the "Bitch'n Camaro" Skit... I get it now Lol.

Maby I should re-grow my mullet and really fit in to the 80's Lol.

Re: 86 GN Powered Camaro back together.

Last year with the converter being too tight... (2.0 60ft's) 18lbs of boost on 92oct it went 11.19@123mph.
With stock crank/stroke/flat tappet cam. (same heads/turbo)
Hope to better that on pump gas and get the car back in the 1.4 60fts where it was when I put it together for a customer several years ago. He put the GN engine in one of his other cars and let this chassis sit. I ended up buying it. :)
Hope to go to US131 for some shake down runs this Friday.

Why'd you go with a 5" DP? Nice job on the car. Looks good with the stock hood on it, very stealthy.

Re: 86 GN Powered Camaro back together.

I went with the 5" downpipe for one... to see if I could actually do it.. .and two that's one area that you can't go too big on. It never hurts to lower the turbulance or restriction after the turbo.

The car is Very very quiet... and I'm not kidding. If it were not for the tires/rims you'd not even give it a second thought.

Man... this car ain't got no F*^&('n cup holders... it's a 80's mullet mobile LoL. I sure wish it had some damn cup holders... I spilled coffee all over myself the other morning. Glad I like it with ice to cool it down or I'd have had some hot nuts!
