TRIED IT, the cooling fan hits the cooling ducts in the back.....but it has been done with some mods to the ducts.

Anything 2002 or newer won't work.. those radios are integrated into the Class2 databus in the GM vehicles.... some of them won't turn on unless they can communicate with the BCM that was originally installed in that vehicle.... the radio and BCM compare VIN numbers and if they don't match they go into 'theft-lock'. You can send one of these radios to a GM radio specialist and they can flash it so that it will initialize with a different car.... but that's WAY beyond the antiquated electrical systems in our SyTy's.
