i need to know how far to adjust the cruise switch on the brake pedal?

i know that it needs to be adjusted so that once you barely tap the brake the cruise shuts off but i'm not sure where that needs to be on the little red plunger?

should it be almost alll the way out?

davep you may know this one...

it's this guy right here in case anyone wants to see it

and i assume that the brake switch should also be pushed up tight to the pedal, atleast till it clicks?

Ya, it's got a Turbo

You'll need the pushrod hooked up before you can attempt adjustment though. But this I assume you knew.

it's hard to tell in the pic but it is hooked up. just finished putting the auto pedal assembly in.
i was gonna leave the manual pedal assembly in but now that i have decided to go awd i would not do a manual trans.

So that is a clutch pushrod? I though it looked like one but dismissed it thinking it was a Sy or a Ty.

Stab it and steer it

Pull the pedal up with your hand firmly. The switch will 'click' and move in the bracket. That's it.

If it doesn't 'click', wiggle it inwards first. Then it will adjust when you pull the pedal up with your hand.

This is the correct procedure for both switches.

thanks got it done, although they wouldn't make a noise type of click i had to push in the plunger by finger and feel the click, hopefully they aren;t going bad.

You can visually check by looking at the switch(s). Make sure the housing is up against the pedal bracket when the pedal is fully retracted. IOW the sw plunger will be fully depressed. Like in the pic actually. Hope that makes sense.

thats the cruise plug, the housing is supposed to be pressed up like it is in my pic?

wow i figured that the brake one should be like that but the cruise one should be as far out as possible while still being able to make the "click", resulting that as soon as the first slight slight tap of the pedal would break contact and make the "click" and shut it down.

but maybe i'm be thinking about it backwards??

i hope i made sense of what i was trying to say?
