Welcome... I think I saw you post over on the Buick board... or FullThrottleV6 (I'm on too many boards)
Anyway... since the RX7 is so much lighter and is only driving 2wheels you will have a better chance of having it survive.. our trucks are so heavy and push air like a Mack truck .. all the while driving 4wheels it kills them fast.
If you've got the extra $ build a 4L80E one time and it'll live forever.
As they said .. bowtie block.. billet crank.. good heads/injection and a big turbo.. it'll make some good power

Yep, I have had my truck since 1999 and I'm my third 700. The stock engine and turbo was more than enough to retire the first two... Welcome aboard, hope to hear more about your projects!
