    1984 S10, an ongoing evolution

Re: 1984 S10, an ongoing evolution I've been living in bc for a couple years now and the '84 has just sat stagnant for that period of time. I'm on vacation back home for 3 weeks however and have been picking away at it during that time. It feels so good to work on this truck again. I'll try and...

    Best Sound Deadener?

Re: Best Sound Deadener? another one for second skin, did my entire colorado in it and had great results with mud terrains. Like anything else it's more about the installation procedure then anything imo. I see guys covering every panel 100% and double even triple layering when loading with...

    front diff question.

Re: front diff question. It sounds like your desires are more in line with the "smart trac" system then that of a 4472. Take a look into the np136.

Rear driver side brakes soaked with oil

Re: Rear driver side brakes soaked with oil I've got to ask but are you sure you have the right seal? I remember when I did this the second time the parts store listed 3 different seals for the s-series 7.5/ 7 5/8 rear axles. DaveP is more then likely right just wouldn't hurt to check.

coilover question in regaurds to hub position and CCW wheels

Re: coilover question in regaurds to hub position and CCW wheels I'm really curious if you figured this out? I've been trying to come up with theories but can't think of anything really all that plausible. The only thing that I can think of is you managed to mix up the centers? throwing off...

    1984 S10, an ongoing evolution

Re: 1984 S10, an ongoing evolution Picked up another length of tubing. Just need to get some 3 x 1/4" bar now and I can make up the front and rear cross-members for the table. Spent a few minutes drawing up how I want to do the upper control arm bushings. Also ordered the lower ball joint...

    1984 S10, an ongoing evolution

Re: 1984 S10, an ongoing evolution ^Thanks, the space really is such a nice thing to have. To go from a 1 car garage you couldn't even open the toolbox drawers all the way without hitting the vehicle you were working onto this really makes me appreciate what we have here. Between work and...

    1984 S10, an ongoing evolution

Re: 1984 S10, an ongoing evolution ^ Thanks, I opted for the C5 over C4 for a couple of reason. They would both be very involved the C4 may have been slightly easier. To simply put it, I like the C5 components more and they are becoming more and more affordable. I'm going to be running coil -...

    1984 S10, an ongoing evolution

Re: 1984 S10, an ongoing evolution Thanks for the good words guys. Gbodydriver, I really liked it too, until everything went down the way it did. Every time I see an old FS I catch myself thinking about that truck. Oh well, live and learn. This should be a half decent update, quite a bit...

Re: LS2 1500hp+ Syclone build ^ thank you, I love looking at your updates but I was 15+ mins wait time to look at the previous page. I also have very slow internet though. Very nice looking wheels/tires, I'm curious what is the weight of them? I cannot wait to see them all mounted up as well...
