    Converting a 2.8L Blazer into a Typhoon?

I got an 84 2.8L 4x4 Blazer myself. I think it cheaper and a lot easier justto buy a Ty and save yourself all that swearing and mood swings. Im lookin for a Sy/Ty in the NY/NJ/CT/PA area.

    4.3L GM Block

Is there any difference in the block that is used in a Sy/Ty and that used in a 93 4.3L Astro? I am thinkin of just building a "drop in motor" instead of pulling and rebuilding an OEM engine. This way if anything goes wrong I can re-install my original engine and still drive. Obviously I...

    5-Speed Conversion

Has anyone considered converting to manual? I know there are various 5spd's like from a Corvette or Z28 that could be made to work? What about AWD with 5-Spd? I am very very interested in this procedure. I'd love to get a 5 or 6-spd Ty or Sy on the road. Has anyone acheived or taken on...

Edmunds USED Typhoon ratings... What do you think?

Im sorry... NJTy180 - you are correct The figure i got was $9520, not a "bit over 9,000" I figured that much.. it seemed kinda low? I am really hoping to pick up a clean truck for around $10,000 cash from a private owner in the NY/NJ/CT area. I'm just exploring my options and shopping...

Edmunds USED Typhoon ratings... What do you think?

I just checked Edmunds.com and they quote the Ty in roughly under $8,000. After that, I have it 80,000 miles, I did the options packages, gave it all options and the price then, was a little over $9,000. Is it possible to get a good Ty for $9,000? _________________ 2001 L-Tuned IS300 Trying...

Hey.. that air release ur getting when you let off the throttle is your BOV working! Where did you mount it btw? If you mounted in certain positions it may release the air in the direction that you are hearing? some BOV's are LOUD! especially HKS brand. Kinda sounds like a trucks AirBrakes

    Perfect idle - mission accomplished!

I remember my old chevy used to surge like that at Idle. The cause was a bad EGR valve and a lot of worn out or cracked plastic vacuum lines.

Ok a twin turbo trail -blazer

Yes.. I was reading that article today in MT. You think they may resurrect the Ty's and Sy's for like 2004 or 2005, kinda the way they bringing back the "Bel-Air" IT kinda looks just like the new T-bird???
