Where? When? Give us a little more info Dig.

I don't think the owners want their whereabouts spread all over the country, so I'll respect that.

Just wanted to pass along that it is alive and well, and making passes. And breaking parts. :)

That truck is a tranny slayer!

Ya know, I'm starting to develop a theory about these things...

Guys that hook solid and run smooth through the 1/4, no broken trannies.
(Or a lot fewer, anyway)

Spin, lift the fronts, get squirrley... broken parts. Too much shock/vibration being transmitted through the driveline?

Re: Spy Info: Former Hoover truck spotted

That was the major difference with Hoovers vs Roberts truck..they ran almost the same but the diference in the launch was HUGE..

And I think I can say, Robert did brake less parts than Matt.. deeply sorry it was´nt possible to meet Matt at the Nat´s, with or without the Sy, we had alot to talk about...

Good tho hear "his" Sy still runs strong and hope it kiks ass where ever it is..

Yep. If you can put a steady load on a part it will live a lot longer than if you chatter it and break it off. That's why jackhammers work so well. Same thing.

You probably also have issues with traction too

500 HP with AWD is a lot harder on the trans than RWD

Wohooo, Maybee the same starts like Robert did then:D
I guess when sorted out properly he (the new owner) will try to "get" the first 8 in US then..

Please keep us informed IF he does this and wants to go public with it...because Ed Hess is gone?? and only your former truck seem to bee a "dark horse" for fast ET on syclones "street style"

Well, I guess the idea rolling around my head was something like a comparision of the following...

AWD truck with 600 HP+ and a 700R4 with the front shaft removed. (With Slicks, obviously) Does it live longer? If so, how much longer?

And, if that test is successful (ie, a decent lifespan), could a front shaft "vibration dampner" be created to lessen the damage from the chattering fronts?

Thunkin' out loud...

I know this is going to piss some of you guys off but I don’t give a shit.

Robert seams like a nice guy from reading his post, but you on the other hand
are a dick head. Ya I said it DICK HEAD. You just want to rub it in that Robert
got in the 8’s first.

My truck will be ready for the nat’s you bring Robert’s truck back and I’ll end this shit.
On the track or the street you chose the place and bring your wallet and I’ll bring mine.
My truck will be on pump gas, you ready big boy ?

If your scared say your scared!!!!

Oh ya you can stick that smiley up your ass. :fist:
