i have read about oberboost problems from wastegate flapper, wastegate actuator, etc. I want to control boost but without changing turbos. what can I do to this turbo to keep boost under control? Can I put a better w/g actuator on the stock turbo or improve the w/g flapper or is a new turbo my only option?

Re: overboost

When I had my stock TY I removed the CAT and had horrible boost problems. Have you checked the CAT?

Re: overboost

its not that I,m spiking yet, I want to make the improvements before it happens to try to prevent future damage when I encounter a situation that would normally cause a spike.

Re: overboost

the best fix for the stock setup is to port the wg in the turbine housing. I can do that for you. you can then remove the cat and open up th eexhaust and run more boost with a better chip.
