    180mph guage recalibration?

I saw some easy setting for 120,150,160 and 200mph. How would I repin for 180mph? If there is an article explaining it in depth that would suffice too. A quick search only turned up the basic method with the 3 settings mentioned. Thanks in advance

Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone?

Re: Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone? I'm thinking it basically has to be valued as a clean salvage truck. I know it's technically not salvaged, but this is really IMO a debate about "what are things people who buy rare cars want in their vehicle, and what is the value...

Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone?

Re: Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone? I don't believe so. I don't know the gullwing truck, but this truck might have been attempting to copy the gullwing truck.

Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone?

Re: Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone? This is a known Sy on this site.... so trust is not so much of a problem. It has a state ID#. I'm not sure what this means yet.

Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone?

Re: Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone? Thanks this is very helpful. The truck had a botched custom door job on it and resulted in needing a new cab.

Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone?

Re: Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone? Certainly worth more than a legit roller though right? I mean I bought mine with ~90K on it in sound mechanical condition with a relatively recent paint job for $8750. As I understand it a clean roller is worth $6500. I can't see...

Reissued VIN, how does it effect the value of a Syclone?

If a non-Syclone VIN is reissued, how does that effect the value of the truck? I'm looking at a second truck right now that had the cab replaced. It is an original Syclone, but the cab was replaced giving it a non-Syclone VIN. Frame is still stamped original.

    I'm losing interest...

Re: I'm losing interest... I can explain this very simply. The people who sold quality parts were not able to stay in business because people flocked to cheap parts. And I don't want to give the impression it was like 50\50. It's like 99\1. The "price elasticity" of auto parts is so high...

    4.3 vs LS Reliability

Re: 4.3 vs LS Reliability Nice post  I will throw in my :2cents: though that the huge growth in power hasn't so much been Chinese manufacturing as much as tuning. Tuning has come a LONG way in the past decade. Even when parts were available for the LS in the early 2000s, there weren't...

Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s?

Re: Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s? You realize this is an LSX build right? There's more than a handful of proven recipes for the goal power level. For the bolding... thank you. That's what I'm trying to do... yeesh. Finally we're full circle. I'm...

Did I read another post right that there are Sy arm wrests?

Re: Did I read another post right that there are Sy arm wrests? Thanks! Someone was saying "you could still buy them from GM" but I wasn't sure if they were referencing this mystical thing I was looking at.

Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s?

Re: Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s? Yeah I don't think anyone is really reading anything. In order to effectively put together a build, you have to know, like you're showing, your power goals. My point here is that using some proven power numbers...

Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s?

Re: Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s? You're involved in an argument that doesn't even exist. You act like I'm saying that power is the only thing that matters. It's a pre-requisite. How many 8 second 500awhp Syclones are there with perfect suspension...

Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s?

Re: Since Mr Syclone keeps his numbers on the DL. How much AWHP to run 8s? Let's bring in Danimal to this conversation. He works at a shop that has built many many 8 second cars. I'm sure he thinks the dyno is a useless tool and instructs his clients to just "go to the track" instead of...
