I took my turbo out today to refresh the gaskets and the bearings. I can't get the heat sheild out of the turbine houseing to free the wheel. Any suggestions. I assume that it just takes patience because of the age. Thanks in Advance. Tyson

I just got 3 different quotes on a carry out rebuild w/ tcc from 3 reliable shops around my area. $995, $800, and $725. Do these sound right or is it too good to be true?

Has anyone ever removed the tranny pump? Does the whole tranny have to come out or can you do it on the truck? This may be my winter project to get the Ty back on the road. I've been looking into a couple of brands, anyone have any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

My '92 Ty wont' go into gear unless it has warmed up for approx. 10 to 15 min. When running, it leaks out a good size puddle. I recently had the Tranny flushed and the shop said that the pump pressure is low. Does this mean anything to anyone? Thanks!
