Hood won't open!!

I was putting on a new cowl hood yesterday and making the adjustments. My front two hood bumper adjustments were turned all the way down. I shut the should before I was ready to and the hood latched. Now it doesn't unlatch. You pull the release handle and nothing happens. Unfortunally, my grill is on too so no way to get to the latch without breaking something. Is there any other way to get the hood to unlatch ? I tried to use a bent screw driver and reach between the hood and grill to pull on the latch release but that didn't work either.

I had this happen to me also. I had to have one person pull up on it while I pulled the release. Stick a screw driver in between the hood and the grill and push the latch in and pull real hard.

I made the same mistake while adjusting my new cowl hood. I had to push down to get my hoodlatch to release, guess it was pretty close to fitting already.
