Re: International SyTy Check-In Sounds familiar, do you have the same "varebil" rules as we have here in Norway? e.g You can put the rear seats back in for free when the car has been in the country for >10 yrs.

OK, thanks! Is the motor wired thru a resistor at low speeds, or is it the type that has several + wires?

When I started my Ty yesterday, the blower fan only worked at the lowest speed. We have frost in Norway now, so I really need to warm up my car :-) Is this a normal problem on these vehicles ? I really like my Ty, but the reliability is really bad. Rebuilt engine, tranny, misc electrical...

I've installed these. Pretty simple job, but you have to cut of an inch or so in the plastic in the rear of the lamp, to get it to fit in the original mount. The light was really bad when I used the bulbs that came with the lamps, but when I replaced them, the light was ok. Maybe not better than...

Does anyone know how much oil the transfer case will take ? And what about the oil level? Is the upper screw determening that? edit: typo

That's exactly the same problem I had a few weeks ago. It went away when i disconnected the TV cable and yanked it back an forth sometimes, and gave it som lubrication. Now it shift at normal rpms, but i have the "slipping" problem. Going for an overhaul next week when I get my $$. It will cost...

I'm from Norway.. But I live further south.. about 500 km. According to Norways biggest US Car register (AmCar), there are only 11 Ty's, and 30 Sy's in Norway. There are two Ty's where I live. Not a very popular car due to high gas prices and part availability. Right now, I'm staying in Canda...

Use heat as well, just pack the area around with a damp cloth. I tore my pulley apart with the removal tool. Had to buy a new billet pulley from Summit.

This morning.. when I was driving my car to work as usual, something strange happened. The tranny wouldn't shift. I reved it slowly up to about 4000 rpm, then it shifted, real brutal. This wasn't very pleasant to drive with, but I got to work. When I arrived, I tried to move the TV cable back...

OK, I'll check the TV cable adjustment today, but it was just fine a few months ago. Does it un-adjust itself? Earlier, the shift between 1 and 2 was brutal. Now, it's more like a mercedes shift.. nice and slow..

Anyone who knows? Is it just the TC, or do I need a full overhaul?
