Re: #0593, the revival

I still think an aspen body with royal blue cladding would be cool.

Truckless. For now.
Re: #0593, the revival

Can no one read? Didn't you post it's staying black, the question is what color to paint the cladding?

I know what color blue he's looking to paint the cladding. I'm actually trying to get a decent photoshop done for him this week.

I just figured, hey, it's Harmon. Why stop at just the cladding.

I say do the whole thing in a matte finish. I know Harley makes a denim/flat silver that might look good on the cladding with the black:2cents:

Re: #0593, the revival

Tunerpro didnt show any knock on the motor and the oil looks really good. Trans fluid looked new too. (of course im changing the oil and trans fluid). Plugs wires cap etc is on the list to do.

The dorked up fuel pressure was the only thing cuasing it to idle poorly when i had it. It loved life at 47psi if i remember...instead of the 90 it was at when i got it. I'm not surprised the pump wore out trying to keep up with that kind of fuel pressure.

The trans fluid was new. Don't forget that used to be a 5 speed ty. It got a 12,000mi syclone tranny from Big Al in FL, stock converter from Myclone :myclone: , and I forget what i used for a flexplate but i think it was a stocker. I didn't change the plugs since it ran fine after i backed the fuel pressure.

That manual boost controller was probably the nemesis of building boost on the line...at least i hope thats the culprit for you.

The bondo is cracking on the roof so im gonna have to grind it out and redo it all, but besides that its a pretty straight ty.

The roof sucked. big time. I still wonder if it should be pulled out or if it even can be. People sitting on the roof at the top of the windshield = no. I was real happy with how the body work came out though...it was definitely a straight looking truck. I was a bit nervous to paint it and do a poor job, thats a big reason why i sold it in primer. Too bad it sat around in primer for so long but should look nice when its all said and done.

I just threw out the 5 speed shifter plate last weekend from that thing...

Re: #0593, the revival

You can tell the moisture made its way under the filler and is causing it to lift...no biggie

A little bit of grinding it out, pulling out the dent and a little massage will make her nice again.

Pulled the tank out, stoopid fuel lines where done for, had to put some new ones in.
Check out the pump and sending unit, no wander i was getting any fuel..lmao/....stoopid rubber hoses.

Re: #0593, the revival

yup, sure is. one is a pump line....one is a return pump line....the smaller is a vent line..the next one goes to the fuel filler neck.
Thanks Harmon, great. I actually just posted up a new thread asking just in case you go to busy to answer back.

Anyway thanks alot!!!!
