Re: 1992 typhoon nitrious oxide
Ok, here's my take:
Only making 13lbs. Thats within spitting distance of the stock 14.7lbs your truck should and did make new. Do you have an aftermarket gauge or are you using the stock "decoration"?
Rocker arm replacement. Never heard of it, I don't think its necessary.
Flowmaster on any turbo vehicle is equivalent to shooting yourself in the foot. Turbos need to breathe, and a straight through muffler like a Magnaflow is the best.
The Nitrous thing- Russian roulette is fun until your luck runs out. If you want to spray stuff into your engine, Alky or Meth injection is a far safer, proven way to make power with these. Nitrous is just too unpredictable with forced induction, thats why nobody does it.
Giving it to your 15 yr old son- how much experience does he have driving? Has he ever driven a truck/SUV, and a high-powered vehicle? Does he understand how much power these actually have? The thing with AWD is, it helps you go very well, but once the truck gets loose, its almost impossible to correct it. Think long and hard about giving a new driver a limited production (and expensive to fix) musle truck. New drivers like to show off, and these aren't anywhere close to good beginner vehicles.
Headers- waste of time and money. Stock stuff has gone very fast.
Chips- there are a few people on here who do custom burns, and then theres always Code 59 if you know what your doing.
As Jimmy said, DM and a WBO2 are highly suggested for stock trucks and mandatory for modified ones.
