I like the one I bought from a member here back in July. Been daily driving it, and aside from the typical GM squeaks and rattles, and holy-oh-my-god-are-you-serious fuel mileage, I really like it.

GLWS!

Completely understand where your coming from. I love this thing especially with heated seats and all the goods.. but for what my upcoming spring and summer has to offer with hauling the kids dirt bikes around and towing the typhoon around a lot, a duramax fit the agenda much better.

I get that as well. I wanted to get a Duramax powered something as well. Price point kept me away though. Was trying to stay under $15k and 100k miles. Was searching Avalanches and Tahoes when I found the TBSS. It also fit in the garage which was nice!

Loved mine. Great daily driver for me. I was able to get ~16mpg regularly, but my commute was 75% highway

Re: 2006 trailblazer ss

With my old tbss, electric fans and a tune really helped the mpg

By disconnecting the fan you, or at least I, get a CEL. What did you do about that? I have a 2005 with the IL6, fan seems to stay disconnected most of the time.

Also who did the tune?

Thanks.

They change settings in the tune, also say if you added headers and deleted the rear 02s which would throw a cel, they would also change that so it stays off

Re: 2006 trailblazer ss

really? yours squeaks and rattles? hopefully its not as bad as a Typhoon, my TBSS is so damn quiet you could hear a flea fart if I didn't have the Bose bumpin :rotf:

Yea. It's not bad compared to the '00 S10 I had, or any number of the Sy/Ty trucks I've ridden in. Both doors squeak, sunroof rattles a bit all the time. Something in the suspension needs to be addressed as it squeaks over uneven bumps, I suspect sway bar bushings. Center console has been apart twice to put "batting" between the plastic and the leather. Seat hinges squeak on accel/decel. It's not bad, but it's noticeable when the stereo isn't at 11. I'm probably overly sensitive to it as well, and they are arguably not much worse than the Audi the TBSS replaced. I just keep reminding myself it's a 10yr old truck that sat for the a good portion of it's life and needs some TLC to bring it back to tip-top shape. Keep in mind mine is an '06 with under 75k miles on it. So it hasn't spent it's life driving as much as it has sitting.

Nice and clean. Did you pay to have it detailed?
Good luck selling

I think about selling mine every once in a while to have some extra money and extra money for the SY, but then I change my mind.
