last night i kept the ty in the garage and took out my 98 gt convertable mustang, it was a perfect night for the top down. i was on 135 street and i came up on a fart muffler gang. i started messing with them til the hit the gas. once they did i passed the accord, taures, prelude and then i came up on a new body style eclipe or talon (i didnt have time to look at the car real well ) once i caught him i heared the turbo whinning and smoked him easliy, i was way ahead so i slowed down to wait for them to catch up so we race a little more. here they come and when they got to my back bumper i gunned it started pulling and they turned left. so much for those guys. still havent had a race in the ty and this is the first time in 3 months that i drove the mustang.

First off, the NEW body style is only eclipse, they killed off the talon in 98. Second the new body style eclipse dosen't even have a turbo, it has a shity sohc V-6. Now, if it was 2g eclipse or talon(thats 95-99), It sould have been easy to tell, the Talon says talon in big letters across the rear. I truly hope you realize that it was just some ricers that don't know shit, beacuse if that talon or eclipse had been modded right all you would have seen is tail lights. If you don't belive me, I have videos of my friends 97 GSX pulling away from a 99 WS.6, that was spraying on us(too bad we don't have them in digital format, but I will send them to you in the mail).

What is this, clash of the titans from the Ford and Mitsubishi factions? Oh well, I'll throw in my 2 cents. I have seen some fast DSMs but 90% of the modded ones I seen are still trying to run 13s. You saying that one "modded right" would have wasted him, is like saying any Syclone that loses a race would have run 9s if it was modded right. You don't have to correct him on the Eclipse body styles, I knew exactly what he meant. The extra curvy Eclipses are what he meant. "2nd generation" as you said. The newest Eclipses are shit, they aren't even DSMs, no turbo or AWD model offered, they might as well be called the Garfunkel or whatever you want but they shouldn't be called Eclipse cause its not even close.
