4 link + axle + diskbrake setup for the SY? where to get?

I am building a 1500+awhp LSX TT / 4L80E setup right now, keeping the AWD.
I have pretty much all together, yet..

Only thing missing is a bullettproof rear setup.

I would prefer a 4 link setup + 9" rear, probably with a detroit locker and disk brakes.

But I have a hard time finding anything.
And I start getting frustrated.
It doesn´t make it easier that I´m living in Austria, being damn far away from the shops I
could eventually get help from.

So I hope anyone here can help me find a setup.
I doubt there´s a drop in set available, but who knows......
But if anone has a similair setup and could give me parts infos, it would help a lot, too.

Looks absolutely great..........kinda extreme if using the AWD, so I bet that´s a 2WD setup, right?
I was at their homepage, but they weren´t willing to help me out on my project.
Never got a reply.

I would love to hear more about it, if you think that I could get that to work with keeping the AWD.

I will drive to car to shows, too......so a spool is no option, though.
Your setup is a dragster only.
Mine should be streetable.

Also, I think you had to cut big parts of the frame?
Or is there a "weld in" setup available??

Thanks for the help !

Why don't you find a 12 bolt rear end,get it narrowed, and buy a welder and go that route.Sounds like your looking for a bolt in rear end, maybe try chassis works and see if they have something. Alot of company's that had stuff for these old truck have moved onto some newer cars. Were getting out dated on things.

Ford 9" doesn't offer a 3.42 gear, so keep that in mind. Really got to stick with GM rear end if your keeping AWD and don't want to do some funny things with tire size.

bolt in 4 links just don't exist, plan on a full custom route.

Thanks on the 3,42 gear info.
Didn´t think about that.

So I´ll look into the GM rears.

Yes, I´ll need to keep an eye on the tire diameters.

I also think that I will need to go the custom route on all that.

Ok, I´ll build my own 4 link.

Where can I find a rear setup that has the stock length (think it´s about 50")
and is strong enough to hold the planned 1500+ hp and has the 3,42 gears ?

Sorry, I am totally new on rear ends, so I don´t know what to get....12", 8"...I don´t even know the differencers and need everyones help

I can't help you with the rear. However if you keeping the AWD you don't need a 1500hp rear end for 1500hp engine. Something that hold 800-900 hp is fine, because the power is being split through the AWD.

8 1/2 10 bolt or 12 bolt would be my suggestion. Easiest is to call and have them build you custom assembly then add your brackets. Be ready for some frame work also.

I think you can buy some drag racing stuff for S10's at Jegs or Summit. Maybe get one of those and use the pieces?

I don't think a 10 bolt or a 81/2 rear end will hold up for very long. Get a 12 bolt, some narrowed axles and good gears. You only want to do this once.

Hi, Im a Dont have my Sy/Ty powered S10 any more..
I Dont Know Much about Sy/Ty.. I Snaped My TailShaft
n BellHousin on My Trans with some other Things..

I had a 90s Style Painted Convertible that was only
2wd, it weighted about 2500 lbs n I had Slicks for it..
I wanted a rear that wouldnt Snap when I hooked..

I Pulled a ZR2 S10/Sonoma Rear.. They have the
BulletProof Gran Nash 8.5 Rear, + Disc Brakes..
They are the Same Width as a Stock Sy/Ty Rear.
I now have that Rear in My 434 (Stroked 400) S10
with a lil 250 Shot of Smack it puts down 702 Rwhp

N that Rear Loves it.. But the Frame Doesnt. :banghead:

Good Luck..

I do not have the measurements in front of me, but there are 3 different lengths of s-series axle 2wd, 4wd and 4wd zr2/highrider.
