Abs Power/ground Plug Question....

OK.....ripped ABS out and thanks to tucker, made it real east to replace the lines. All i have to do is bleed etc.

I will have the factory ABS stuff for sale next week if anyone is interested.

Here is my question

I also installed an MSD 6AL on a custom aluminum bracket that I fabricated where the ABS module was. I kept the plug intact that POWERED the module (red/blk with black connector) to use for future power. I believe there should be a seperate fuse for this in my fuse box? ...anyway... is there any reason that anyone knows of why I shouldnt use this power and ground for my MSD 6AL?. he wire size is about the same size as the supplied MSD wires, and I figure if it will power that big ABS module, it should do the ignition as well....has anybody else done this?

I'm about to do the exact same thing. Far as I can tell the Red/Black wires go direct to the battery and aren't switched. I figure if it's the right power lead then it beats running another set of wires to the battery.

sweet....I'm going to try it this weekend, i'll post my results.
I finished my install this weekend and it works great! I tried to find a connector that would fit the stock one from the ABS module, but I ended up just soldering the connections and tucking it in the wrap. Looks great.

I tore mine apart trying to get the stock connector plug out, which didn't work at all. I ended up tossing it in the junk. Maybe mpettograsso can sell you his.

Personally I would just delete it. Instead I'm puttin in Baer 4-wheel disc which is what I think it should have had in the first place!
