after replacing ign. switch....

so I rplcd my ign. lock and now w/o the key in the light sounds when u open the driver's door like the key was in the lock.before it comes apart again, anyone know what to look for?

there is a little plastic thingy with a bent up metal piece in it . you need to remove this part to get at a screw .part of the column it's the screw that holds the lock cylinder in

You didn't put it back together right. Small flat spring is in wrong.

you can leave it out. this way you dont get the stupid noise when the key is in with the door ope.
should be a small white plastic clip eith a copper color spring type thing in there

you it was the 2 little coppper tabs that covered one of the ign. bolts. they'd crossed up and were touching when I put it back together. no biggie. thanks, guys.
