Alarms!

I had a Viper on mine with remote start. I also like the enforcer alarms, i've got one on the GN. I think the company is called "seko larm" or "seiko larm" (can't remember how it's spelled.)

i preferer the old fuel pump cut off switch. use an old lock from a server computer. cheap and does the job. i hate alarms that make noise...just annoying. i wouldnt mind a 100 amps to flow through a person that is trying to steal my car though.

I would do the Lo-jack thing and then I would do the fuel shut off. Lo jack is 500 for the base package....fuel pump switch is probably really cheap. If the theif does get in he can't go any where and if he can go then you can locate it.

Just my 2 cents

fyi...ive had a sy stolen and stripped bare(frame and shell), plus my ty was molested one night...3800+ in damage to ex/interior. Basically fawk alarms, they are a fake sense of security. Alarms are like Hallmark holidays, a bunch of made up bullshit for you to throw money away on to make you feel better, sorry.

I am looking into this too. I know they are not foolproof but it at least has to slow them down a little. Does the Clifford have the Turbo function like the Compustar? I have to pull a big hill to get to the house and sitting there idling while the turbo cools down is a PITA.

Yes, G4 has a turbo timer...

Well, the Clifford alarm on my truck made me feel a lot better when it foiled two attempts to steal it, thus providing a real sense of security for me. I'd no longer own it had it not been for the alarm. Sorry.

ok, well the Clifford seems to be a pretty good unit.
only questions are, how much, and can I order one and install it myself? cause im tired of taking my truck placed to get work done, assholes never put all the screws back in, i dont like leaving it other peoples hands, and I wanna make sure everything is good and hidden.

I'm currently using a man eating German Shepard named Bear. A few other friends of mine also utilize large barking dogs of various breeds to protect their vehicles.

Mine was a grand installed. You are going to want to get the laptop option too... I would imagine.

I don't think they recommend you install, unlike other alarms.
It took the install guy a total of like 11 hours...

Nothing like turning down (or up) sensitivity from your apartment though.

Or setting the shock sensor by hitting it how hard you want it to trigger, and then go off.

Or slapping the key off and on when getting gas so you can leave your keys in it and not worry.

Or setting personal tones for alarms with the laptop.

Or having it start when it gets too cold, too hot, or the battery gets low so it can recharge.

Or turning on the lights on the way to your truck when it's dark out.

Or having the lights automatically come on when it's dark and when you turn on your wipers.

Or, oh never mind...

:)

Has anyone mentioned go to radio shack pick up a blinking led and a switch for about 7 bucks, I think it even comes with a sticker. That will keep the kids away. A more experienced thief if they want it good luck stopping them. I know a $500 alarm my ty has been stolen twice.
