depression set in...
over the weekend we got some snow in New England....they dumped salt/sand on all the roads,soo shes been parked since sat.. lastnight i stabilized the gas,pumped the tires up to 50psi & stuffed the ty in the garage on a trickle. suddenly im reminded of all the stuff my winter truck needs. brakes...starter...ps pump...battery. my MSD decided to crap out in the mix. that had me scratching my head for awhile..
M= mysterious
S= spark
D= disappearance
oh joy.
up and running...still with strong arm steering tho.
i miss her already.
anyone else forced to pull out the winter junk yet??

i wreckon i shouldent complain,i take the term 'winter beater' to the extreme. i put the blower & MSD on the truck 6 years/60K miles ago. this is the first failure aside from belts & 1 idler pulley. very dependable. look forward to beating on it in the woods of Maine this winter!

Re: and then...

i just pulled out one of my ty's for the winter the ty needs some work so i figured drive it around for the winter seeing as its already scheduled for repairs and paint in the spring

if you never drove a ty in the winter you don't know what you're missing :D

I had a similar problem when I stored my mustang for a few years in a garage. Pulled it out and No Spark, replaced everything but that msd.. no dough.. unplugged the msd and vroom!
gotta love it haha

Re: and then...

my ty is from Fl...if i drive it through a N.E. winter im sure it would EXPLODE with rust in a very short time. i bought a house with a garage for the soul purpose of protecting the ty & my HD from the elements. oh,and for my wife to have a house...yeah,thats it...
