I used this as per the how to article:

It's blue. But it's paintable if you need to. I didn't. Worked like a charm.

Thanks for the posts. I am in the body shop business/insurance business so I may have one of my local shops Nitrogen weld the cladding for me. If that doesn't work I will get some of the 3M Rigid parts repair. My concern is certainly not the repair holding rather the paint I have to use to match the rest of the cladding :? Has anyone had to paint their cladding and if so what did they use? I understand I can have a shop mix some PPG paint but surely the way these claddings fade there is some homemade paint that would work just as well (since it will obviously fade again). thoughts?

The cladding on the truck I have has been painted at some point.
If you have some good pieces I'm sure any shop could color match but being that you can easily remove the cladding from the car I would say it may be more practical to have it all sprayed at once.
Also, I would still use the panel pond to reinforce the tabs on the back side of the cladding even if you have it welded. Stock wasn't strong enough...every little bit of strength helps.
