Look over at sportmachines.com You'll find a couple of people over there, and I'm sure they're hiding here too. Go to the GLG gathering this summer, lots of peolpe there as well.

I would love to meet up with most of the wi trucks. I have only met a few of them and it seems like we are getting more and more trucks. I would go to the highway to meet up with some, hopefully I will be driving my sy around soon, my dads ty is up and running at the moment.

well looks like theres a few around here. I would love to get a ride in a typhoon sometime!

on a side note im in the process of buying a TIG welder, so i can weld exahust and stuff for people. I'll but my MIG welder in a few months. Im trying to track down some piping so can build exahust for people. Espeically titanium pipes, hard to find and very exspensive. so if anyone needs exhaust work later this summer

Sounds good. I've wanted to meet some of the WI guys that I've seen driving around. I'm also looking at going to Great Lakes in a couple weeks, so maybe we can get meet up there to if anyone is interested.

fyn whyn, what kind of truck did you get? I know of someone in Oak Creek that was selling a Ty, just curious if thats what you purchased.

I could trade you, ride in a ty for my exhaust welded up
I really wanted to do stainless with v-band clamps but I would rather not have payed the local guy with a tig welder to do it. I am just clamping it together for now though.

So you are looking for a ty?
I know of one for sale but I am not sure how much of a fixer upper you want. Let me know I still have a few pics of it on the computer, it is local to me. It was a New York truck or something like that and it was a theft recovery no ty interior regular jimmy stuff, its a fixer upper but it runs The guy owns a auto shop, he also had a sy and has 2 sogt's. He is currently building a real cool 95 or so blazer with a 509 all alumunim big block efi and supercharger and custom frame, corvette suspension, awd the works it going to be killer when he is done.

lets put it this way, im browsing the market with no intention on buying one this year...

I need to move out of the house, and once im done with school in december im going to get more serious about looking for a house to rent where i can work on cars and stuff. So its not in my near future but possible in the next year i will be in the buying mood. I want to learn what im getting into before i go drop a ton of money on a new money pit.

Well I can tell you it is not going to be like a honda :D
It is way faster, scary through corners, and very unreliable.
The reliable part seems to be hit or miss, my dad bought a very well mainted ty from someone we knew and trusted, it flags an egr code, seems to have a slight miss, and a valve body problem in the tranny.
My sy I drove home from Florida and did not have one problem, once I started playing with it though :-? I hope since I have replaced most of the truck now I will have a decent sy but it has cost a lot of money.
Make sure whatever truck you are looking at to run datamaster on to see if there are any big problems ready to happen. Very good idea to learn the trucks first, I know I would not have bought my sy (would have found a better one) if I had found this place first

Kue let me know when you are planning on being at the track, preferably sat. since I work sundays. I doubt I would be racing my sy but my dad may want to take his ty.

The one I bought was from Green Bay. Didn't see anything about one here
in Oak Creek, would have taken a look at it.

Stopped over by my brother's birthday party with the ty on saturday, and
on the way home saw a sy! Was it anybody here? My ty is Red/Grey. I
think it's the sy that I see driving on Howell ave sometimes when I driving
home from work.

I lived in Milwaukee for about 8 months and never saw a SyTy - 'cept my own :)

You guys should come down for GLG - a lot of trucks and there are generally guys from WI, MI, MO & IL - and a few others here and there.

I have a 93 Garnet/Gray Ty that sits in a garage in Oak Creek and occasionally comes out to play on nice summer days and weekends. There is a decent sized car show every Saturday night at Georgie Porgies in Oak Creek. I am about 2-3 blocks away and have been known to stop by.
