Anyone run stock wastegate and boost control setup no muf/cat?

Currently I am debating on ditching my magnaflow 2.5" cat and maybe the muffler as well. As of now I can hit 110 and hold 17±.5psi the entire way, but notice that my wgdc drops dramatically, to around 30% by 105ish.

There is no boost creep at all, but I suspect that it is definitely getting close to the point where it will start to rise no matter what.

I hate to keep asking these types of questions because it doesn't seem like anyone really pushes the stock hardware.

However, I am curious if removing the cat and muffler may help alleviate some of the back pressure and reduce flow through wastegate

Removing the cat with a stock turbo / waste gate WILL cause boost spikes and creep. The first time it shifts into second at WOT don't be surprised when you see 25 psi or more and your engine goes pop.
Try Sportmachines' Forge W/G actuator. Porting of the W/G hole may also be necessary to run cat-less. External W/G might be a solution for you as well.

That is even with proper adjustments in ecm? I've read of the people that have done that on stock ecm which is obviously.a terrible idea, I was curious if anyone has had success tuning around the spikes and retaining good control.

Looks like someting I'll just have to do and see how it goes this summer

I ran mine with no cat & a straight through type muffler.
I was running 18-19 PSI & it would boost spike to 21 PSI momentarily.

Other than the first to second gear shift, the boost control was OK, this was with a 2 bar ATR Pitbull street chip. 12.29 ET

I ran no cat with a bullet muffler and Ultimate chip for years. It held 17 psi and went 12.60. If you run the stock tune, it will boost spike.
