ATR headers and the waiting list

Ive been waiting for 6 weeks now and they just told me another 3-4. Im like, WTF, you kidding me or what? They say im 1st on the list but I doubt it. How many you other guys out there waiting on them??

I am in the middle of installing them. They have got to be one of the hardest installs i have ever done. Take your time and have plenty of brew waiting nearby. Also make sure to clear the area so that way the flying objects (manifolds, wrenches, etc) don't hit anything!! :roll:

My install will be a BREEZE. The old header are off and most of the entire front clip off 8)

The reason is that I was doing a vortec and cam install. Kinda sucks becuase I waiting on the headers to get this thing back together. I didnt expect a 2-3 month wait..

make sure you wrap them in something. I used this stuff at the pro shop. I forget whats it called though. I am also installing mallory fire shielding on my wires as per J wallers reccomendation. Have fun!

WTF can't they make a different version for Vortecs? We had to grind for 3 hours Saturday to make them fit around the Coolant temp probe. All they would have to do is flip the flange over and offer it as a $20 option. Is it just me or what?

Another beef I have with the ATRs is the welds are too close to the bolt holes, so you have to grind the washer into a "D" to make it fit next to most of the welds. I'm just glad I didn't pay the rediculous $1k for these.

Yeah I plan on using a plasma cutter to notch them for the temp prob. As for buying some and getting them at the Nats? I would if I were going. Ive already paid that awfull 1k price tag

I think I have an Idea of who, I wont say any names but I owe the guy!!

No really the header install should be cake! When I said I had front end off I wasnt kiddin. I decided to do all the work at my house and not the shop ( l must have smoking pot that day :roll: ) SO, in short I didnt pull the motor. Well I took the front end grill and etc off. After that I thought "man dont want to scratch or ding my fenders" so I pulled those too. The reason for all of this nightmare is the fact I was doing a vortec install, electric fans, and maybe and air 2 air. The air to air, if the little woman of the house doesnt nail my ass for a grand or so this month!!
