Did anyone show up? Sorry, but I couldn't get a babysitter. I was tempted to drag my 4-yr-old along, but figured she might be too much of a handful (and we would have had to leave pretty early).

Next time bring her along!! Roy and I are hoping to set up a future gathering...assuming a few would want to meet up. Many people were out of town and others possibly forgot last Saturday. :tdown: So, Roy and I made the best of it. Are you up for a future meeting...maybe around April/May (ish)?

I hope to have one in san jose around that time too. Last year at toms house was way too hot. It would be nice to use Stevens tire shop. It would make a good group pic and is close to the el camino where we can eat and hang out.

Micheal next time bring her along if you want, you know they need to be taught about these trucks from a early age.

Damn, didn't mean to miss this. I thought it was February 7th for some reason and I didn't get the email notifications when someone bumped this thread. I thought subscription was automatic when I replied to a thread but I guess it's manual thread subscription only here.

You didn't miss much, my truck is still apart, Dustin's is hibernating for the winter, Steve's doesn't move unless a armoured brigade is surrounding it.
It was a bad time of year to pick also, no worries we will do something again here real soon. Steve's told me alot about your truck, I would love to see it some day. Are you still having trouble with it?

well, I was talking it over with my wife and we might me moving up there. With problems with the family, there is no reason for us to stay here. I am union so I can work up there. its a 18$ an hour pay cut but the cost of living is cheaper.

$18, I think the union journeyman electrical guys are like $35 a hour here. It's really $53 an hour down there?
EDIT: I found this link to the unions web page, it says $31.60, but after you factor in vaca. pay you should be $35ish

That's crazy when I was a sheetmetal worker journeyman pay was almost exactly that, but I always thought electricions got payed more, guess not.

JW pay is 43.07. I am a foreman and get 49.50$. Our total package is about 64$ an hour compared to Oregon's is in the 40's.
Most high end trades get close to the same pay, except elevator mech. those bastards get over 60 an hour around here.

I didn't know you were a foreman, yeah here it's about the same, 5 ish dollars an hour for foreman pay. Also same on elevator pay they get like $10 an hour more, I don't know if I would want to do that kind of work. Most of those guys don't look to happy when they come up at the end of the day and are completely black :rotf:
