Automotiveforums Team GTR Testing

Sean (Morris) called me today to let me know that he and his Automotiveforums.com crew had made it to South Georgia. Their gonna be testing the Skyline tomorrow at a local track about 10 miles from my house. He invited me to come hang with them and I figured I'd pass on the invite. If anyone is gonna be in my area (Savannah, GA) tomorrow, give me a call. I'll be leaving work early (noon) to go hang out with them and watch the Skyline make some laps. Hopefully, I'll get to take the guys out to dinner afterward.

I'll be sure to have vid-cam in hand while I'm there.

I will be down south saturday. But I dont think I will be going to savannah like we had thought about doing to visit family. Oh well, post up the vids for me. I still havent gotten to see a fast skyline in person.

Sweet ! Be sure and tell Sean hello from Missouri Vinny. I spent some time with him at RB Motoring a few months ago while I was over in Riverside and City of Industry.
I hope everything goes well for their trials. I know Igor has high hopes.
Maybe this will be a great representation of a spec class RB26DETT engine doing whats its made for ! :tup:

Hahaha ! :rotf: I know what you mean. I talked to him abit ago and Igor was chasing him around the R34 race car. Those freaks drove straight through from L.A. to Georgia in under 3 flippin days!Crazy !
I guess Sean was nervous about this being their first outing and being underpowered for the class. I wish them all great luck and tons of respect for giving it a go ! Big balls to be the first . :tup:

Just wanted to let everyone know that today's testing went well. The AF team is pleased with the fact that despite it being the maiden voyage for the car (since the rebuild), it did 3 sessions w/o breaking a thing. I got a good bit of video (which is DL'ing now) that I'll post later on, but just wanted to say a big thanks to Sean, Igor, Josh, and Victor for letting me hang out and BS with them today. Had a great time.

Gotta go meet the guys for some Hooters action now, will post video(s) later. Although, I'm not gonna post any videos that show the car being pushed hard or any pics/video of the finer details of the car, as I know how competitive their class is and would hate to reveal anything to a would-be competitor.
