AWD conversion

Who designs the AWD drivetrain on the Sy/ty?Does anyone know if there is an AWD conversion kit for other vehicles, such as a fullsize chevrolet?

The AWD was borrowed from the Olds Bravada I believe.

astro van the bravada followed the sy, and as far as the conversion for the full size I imagine?? you could just use a case out of a astro van it should fit Ken

One more question... how does AWD really work anyways. I picture the exact same as just a 4x4 setup.

Its always engaged, except the power is distributed between the front and rear by a viscous coupling, kinda like a limited slip differential, but not really.
