In the middle of rebuilding the front suspension. have everything done cept lower balljoints and control arm bushings, well, i have the entire lower control arm unbolte and swung around, ez to get the bushings, but I cant figure out hoe to get the balljoint out? its about 1/4 of an inch below the cv axel and it has about an inch of threads left to come out, it just wants to back itself into the cv axel, am i supposed to grind and punch the rivits with the balljoint on the truck? thanks..

Yeah- but what really helps is to remove the axle nut (36mm deep) and whack off any steering linkage getting in your way. Then the entire spindle will come forward giving you room to re-install with the lower ball joints already installed on the lower control arm. Not sure how much play you can get with the upper arm still attached.......

Remember to lower your truck down all the way prior to completly tightening the control arms. Otherwise, those nice bushings won't last long.
