Just getting to around to changing the driveline fliuds on my truck and was wondering what is the best procedure  for changing out the front dif grease. I have not seen this addressed before. Thanks
I use oxygen tubing attached to a vaccum for sucking up emesis and body fluids here at the firehouse in the squad. It'll suck the front diff dry in about 2 minutes. The clear container is nice. They are disposable and you can really see how your fluid looks. Of course the suction unit probably costs $400 :-?
Maybe some kind of hand vacuum pump? How about an old breast pump?(the kind mothers use to store milk). Those seem to be pretty cheap.

you could probly use the hand pumps they have at discount or autozone.. they have squeeze bulb and press down (like a soap dispensor) types. They are good for filling fluids where you cant fit a bottle, and they could be used to empty fluid I imagine.
I use a suction gun on mine. It looks like a grease gun cylinder with a barbed fitting on the end where the "gun" end would be for a vinyl tube. You can use it for either removing or injecting fluids. Works OK but, it can get be a little messy at times. HTH's
griots garage has a stand up vac pump with hose attachments for 65 clams. it does oil, trans fluid, through the dipstick hole but also good for brake, power steering, transfer case, rear diff, my lawn mower, supercharger oil in gtps or buicks. www.groitsgarage .com
