Zav I am using a PTE67 Dual BB with the internal wastegate on my setup with the Stock Controller. It controls it fine.

You just need to get the rod adjusted correctly initally and then set the F71_MPH Wastegate table correctly so hit your target boost. Then tweak a few Wastegate adjustment settings in the chip so it slows down the rate of positive change. With that you have rock solid boost. There is a write up on Code59 on how to get the F71_MPH table set correctly and some procedures on how to figure out how much boost X% increase of wastegate adds and which other settings you need to change to improve the wastegate control.

I adjusted my wastegate rod so my Target boost of 16 psi is hit with the wastegate duty cycle set to 50-55%. Then if you want to hit higher boost, change the target boost and then up the wastegate duty cycle. Right now I am running 18psi at about 61% wastegate. your mileage may vary depending on your wastegate rod length.

You should meet up sometime and you can look at it and I can go over it. I drive my Ty every day to Renton for work so I am close to where you live.

For sure. I'll be reconnecting in a few weeks.

Simplicity and cost for the most part.

If you have the DP already, I guess I can see that.

If you're fabbing already, you could do the T3 to T3 WG adapter like Alex has, with a decent external.
By the time you'd fab a simpler downpipe (ie, v-band or 4bolt), and add up all the costs, you'd be very cost competitive with the full internal setup.

If you're not into doing the fab or have anybody local that can do it, you're probably better off with the internal and the RPM setup.

74mm with internal gate and Blitz controller works for me.

How would you order one that uses the 4bolt like RPM's.... What is that 4 bolt called when looking it up? When I look up 4 bolt they always show the standard 4 bolt turbo's never one for our down pipes.

Thanks,
Rich

So Dig, is this the t3 to t3 adapter your referring too?

Or

T3/T4 for the PTE or Bullseye turbos..

Re: Biggest bb turbo available that can be controlled with an Internal wastegate?

I run a 76 BB turbo with a internal waste on my awd Ty. I run it with a blitz controller and its rock steady. It's run up to 28 # boost with no problems. I went this route after I got fed up with and external wastegate and an ATR down pipe. I never could keep the external setup consistant without periodically taking the wastegate apart and cleaning it.

Controlling those big turbos with an internal WG is pretty Impressive.

Are you guys making custom one off internal WG settups for these big turbos?

Most of the bigger turbos like the Precision 6265/6765's and GT40R's I've seen don't have the internal housings....

Thanks for sharing.

I am using the PTE syty exhaust housing on a turbonetics turbo. The down pipe is from PTE also.
