Bought Ty, Sold Vette

I sold the Vette today. Going completely through '93 Ty # 1208 I bought last week. All original one owner high mile white/white no rack. It will be the daily driver so Sy #1773 can live in the garage.

Welcome? I've been around the forum since the beginning and have owned my Sy since 2/93. I really didn't intend to sell the Vette when I bought the Ty but a friend started hounding me and paid my price. So I'm looking for another car again. GTO, T-Type, another Vette, who knows. How about a midyear Vette with a complete Ty chassis and drivetrain. Wheelbase is the same...

Oops, my bad. What about a Z06 (405HP) or a 95 ZR-1 (405HP)? I wouldn't mind owning either but too expensive for my tastes. What kind of Vette did you have?

I would love a Z-06 but can't justify the price. Mine was a 1986 Z51 L98 aluminum head 4+3 car. I really would like an older car so I have something to take to the nostalgia drags. It has to be 1972 or older to compete.

Well don't know much about vettes but my dad had a l-71 package 69 back in highscholl that was dust gold! I could kill him now for selling it since only 50 of his were made AND he sold it for $3,500 and the only thing to remember it by is my kitchen table! L-71 had the 427 6-pack 435 hp w/ hurst 4 speed and factory crager rims! That my understanding though. Anyway congrats on buyin the TY.

funny, i just sold my 100k+ ty and my corvette. bought a toyota. going to finish my 57 belair and never buy either one of those POS'S again. if you have better things to do with your time don't buy a sy/ty or corvette. im outa here! 8)

I just got fed up with my vette. Sent it to my dad, so he can look at it for awhile. I would never sell it though, unless I had a nicer vette to take its place. I can see this car fetish of mine getting way out of hand in a couple years. It's ok for now i guess, I am still single.
