Brake light

Hi there folks,
I just bought a typhoon, and the brake light stays on. could you point me in the right direction to troubleshoot this. yes the parking brake is released
:p

Also how do you know what number typhoon i got. are they serially marked.

No. On the Syclones, the VIN is the production number. 0001 was first, then 0002... up to 2998. The Typhoons were not done the same way, but people refer to them by the last four digits of the VIN, just as an easy reference.

There is a switch that is activated by the brake pedal assembly under the dash.

Follow the pedal up and look for a plunger type switch. They often can get misadjusted through normal use and it pushes out the switch from its housing. If thats the case a simple adjustment maybe all you need to complete the repair.

Good luck, I cant imagine trying to buy parts for one of these things if you truly are in Japan....
