Just getting off work, stopped and grabbed a movie at blockbuster off Telegraph Rd.
As I'm getting ready to pull out into traffic, I see the headlights coming so I quickly pulled out. I knew it was a viper. :D
I was right beside him, and I was praying for the light to change. It did.
It was a brand new yellow viper, temp registration still in the window.
I yelled over to him lets go. He's like naw, can't afford the ticket. I'm like come on we'll go to 60 or so. So then he agreed.
The one side turns yellow, I build boost, second side turns yellow, I hear his tires break loose and then green and I get a hard launch and I look he is at least a car legnth behind. Then at about 55 I see he isn't gaining.
He pulls up along side, yells YOU WON.
So we go from like a 30 roll just and I can't touch him, obviously.
He asks what I've done to my truck, and I just yell bigger turbo, thats it.
Well, I wish I could have caught at least one more light agianst him.

It was a lot of fun. There are so many damn cops out there, so its real risky. I had to go with the viper though. I am glad I did. :D

Later,
Scott

So, uhh, what movie did you get?

Whats up, you get to run vipers every night or something. :p

My gf had me rent "A Walk to Remember." It is a total chick flick.

Viper is really high on my list of cars I want to race and make look stupid. I got a chance ONCE so far at a light in front of the big street racer custard-stand hangout. Revved loud like 3 times and built boost and launched but the Pussy wouldnt even hit the gas.. I think he recognized the risk of being embarrased by a pickup truck. If his Viper was "so fast" he should have been able to easily take care of me without even using full throttle :)

NICE KILL MAN. Just hope that everyone believes you! :)

Lastnight, my buddy and I were cruising in his TT Stealth, and we raced a 94 RT10 from a roll and pulled on him, he let off around 60 or so, gave us thumbs up, and took off. No one believes us though? Hm...

He's modded of course too...

Back to your story, Was it a ACR? I'm not really the "Viper" guy though.

I wouldn't care if someone didn't believe it. I don't care who saw it. It was fun as hell.
As for ACR, don't know. I didn't really see anything on the car...but then agian I didn't really see the rear either.

I think the ACR has a HUGE airplane wing on the back. There is one that I see cruising every once in a while, white with blue stripes. Of course I never get an opportunity to come near him.

Oh and get this quote from him. Someone asked if he raced anything on the cruising strip. He said something to the effect of "What's there to race that's gonna be worth racing?" (There are a handful of 11 and 10 second cars on the strip, one was parked a few feet away from him in the parking lot at the time he made this comment.)

I would bet $50 the Syclone would take him in the average street race to 50 or so. Even more if he's a cocky fool who doesn't ever race his car and therefore has no practice launching on a green light.
