luckily I'm stuck at O'Reilly. Unfortunately they don't open for another couple hours. The AC motor in my Ty has been bad for a while and tonight it started smoking, clanking, sparking, and glowing bright red. So I stopped and right now I'm waiting on AAA.

I search the forum and could not find what I was looking for. So here is my question. Does anyone have a parts list for AC delete that I can buy from autozone, o'reillys, napa, ???

I need to be able to drive my truck back and forth to work until I can get the ac properly fixed this weekend.

I dont believe they have one, you will need a custom bracket to mount the tensioner to. You will also need an LS style tensioner. I have the bracket from RPM for sale if you'd like it, you will still need the tensioner but it will save a few bucks

Unless you could just get a shorter belt to bypasss the AC compressor for short term

It depends on what is wrong with your AC. If the clutch is bad you can unplug the electrical connector on top so it does not engage. If the compressor would glowing red the bearings in telhe compressor might be bad.

Some have deleted the ac using a smaller belt that does not use the tensioner or ac pulleys. It just goes around crank, alternator, power steering and water pump. I haven't done it and you might have to some mods to make it (maybe a turn buckle)

Yep, you can do this.. Just don't hook up the old hoses(they are probably contaminated) or the electrical connector.. The new compressor will come with all of the ports capped off.. Leave these on the compressor..

Done: thank you guys.

What have I learned.
Dorman 34152 fits in place of the the factory ac compressor... kinda. I had to add a washer in between the dorman and the inside of the rear side of the factory aluminum bracket to free up the slop from the dorman not fitting perfectly.
Also. a ac compressor clutch puller is highly recommended because you will not be able to get the 3 bolts out without it. Unless you do like I did and hammer a flat spot on the bad ac pulley to get the bolts out or file a flat on each bolt to clear the ac pulley.

Save your money. You don't need a a/c compressor clutch removal tool. Just buy the correct bolts. My factory bolts have a flat spot on the head to remove them :tup:

Delete all that crap...get rid of the whole bracket ....evaporator....a/c lines and open a whole new world of engine bay openess.....who needs a/c anyways?
