Camaro 12" front brake conversion piece of cake! Pic in

Well I did my camaro front brake conversion today. I bought the mounting kit from TT350 here on the board. I bought a set of calipers/brackets and rotors of ebay for $138.00 shipping included.(new pads from the local auto supply) I am really pleased how easy the swap was. The mounting bracket kit came with great instructions and pictures to guide me through. I used a chop saw to cut my existing spindles and a 4" angle grinder to finish them off. another thing i did was used my anti lock cable bracket to mount the brake hose and then ty wraped the anti lock wire to the brake hose.
If anybody is going to do this swap think ahead and get yourself any front end part that you need to replace. I did upper and lower balljoints, axles and shocks while i was in there. start to finish it took me 5 hours to do everything! Could be the single biggest improvement for the dollar i have done so far. Here is a link to some pics i took while I was doing it:

The coil over & tubular control arm set up whether it is PEP or JSM will not affect this kit.

I think this with the JSM control arms/coil over would be the way to go. Anybody want to buy my 13" baer kit I have for my ty? :D

It looks great! Looks like a great deal. How much $$$$ did the swap cost total (pads, kit, rotors, brackets...everything.)? Those wheels are 16"s right? Those rotors look huge!

bigtime, it looks like your front shaft boot has some cavitation to it. (vaccum)

i noticed it happens sometimes with new shafts. usually when it has happend to me, there isnt enough air in the boot. and when you install the shaft, the boot collapses cause of this.
one option is to cut the clamp to let the air in and then reclamp, but i dont like that method.
what i did was take a thin round metal pick and squeeze it between the shaft and boot(under the clamp). once it got across i pulled up on the pick and i could hear air rush in and the boot returns to its normal shape. just be careful not to puncture the boot.
