Cannot open tailgate

I can't open my tailgate on my Ty - the lock will not turn all the way to the right to allow it to open.

I have no battery in the truck, so I can't pop the rear window open to get at it from the top. I can't turn the lock the other way to open the glass either.

Any ideas? Possible to get at it from the inside?

If I had that problem I would just grab some jumper cables and hook them up to someone's car just to get some juice to pop the window. 8)

I'm in the middle of doing some wiring and there is stuff everywhere, so adding voltage is not an option. :-?

the rear locks completely suck on the Tys. Ive had the tumblers jam up more than once on my truck and thats how the '92 was when I got it.

I just drilled the damn locks out and get new ones from GM.

i would tell you how to pop the rear window.. but its not really good to post it on a public forum..

The only thing I can think to do is remove the trim screws from the tailgate panel,pry the panel back,and try to manipulate the linkage from inside.Oh wait NEVERMIND.PM sent
