Can't get a kill lately.

Either not finding anything fast on the street, or they don't want any, or they want the wrong thing.

Pulled up next to a 350z, he says "No way, I know what those are". Then I hear an STI romping on it going the other direction to me, I spin around and catch up to him to see if I can get him to run. "Is that a Syclone?" . "Yeah, is that an STI (the sti badge was my first clue)" I asked him if he wanted to run, he said no way, knew all about Syclones.

Then I pull up next to a nice looking Cobra, look over to check the car out and the driver and passenger are smiling and checking me out. A couple of milf's who may not have realized I was lusting over their car, not them. Not interested in testing the Cobra out either.

Oh well, truck was running good tonight anyway, well, good for 8lbs of boost that is. I still haven't hooked up the boost controller so I'm running base boost.

me neither, wen't to a local car show last night showing off the ty. my buddy is telling everyone that i would kill all of them. car show is full of old muscle cars, new cobras, SS camaro/WS6 firebirds, a few lightnings. everyone that saw it was like no way are we gonna race this truck.

i need to get an alky kit bad, and start saving up for some vortecs.

I don't need a stiffer spring yet, once I have the boost controller hooked up it will sit at 18lbs solid with no creep or spiking, I just haven't hooked up my boost controller yet as I have no confidence in my truck or my ability to not get into boost if I can, so I'm leaving it unhooked until I think everything is 100%.

Still not sure about the cracked head, I'll be driving my truck around more today (as per the instructions on the Moroso engine sealer) then draining the cooling system and letting it sit overnight, and tomorrow I'll fill it back up and see if it still bubbles or not.

I did get the truck looking good finally at least, I'll take some pictures later today and post them.

I have no confidence in my truck or my ability to not get into boost if I can, so I'm leaving it unhooked until I think everything is 100%.

Still not sure about the cracked head, I'll be driving my truck around more today (as per the instructions on the Moroso engine sealer) then draining the cooling system and letting it sit overnight, and tomorrow I'll fill it back up and see if it still bubbles or not.

Because I'm an idiot. The Moroso Ceramic Seal said to drive normally for a day, so I went out cruising around. I didn't think I was really driving it hard as I'm limited to 8lbs of boost but I can kill an STI or an Evo at half throttle so I figured it was just playing around that would make me feel a bit better about my truck. In hindsight, not my smartest move ever.

I'm not sure if the sealer worked completely or not, I fired it up and let it idle yesterday and there were only a few bubbles here and there, I can't tell if the leak is much smaller, or if it's completely sealed and just purging a few air bubbles since I just filled the radiator.

If I can ever find the coolant temp sensor wire and plug it in I'll take it back to the shop and have them put a c02 sniffer back in the radiator (need a new radiator as well) but right now I'm afraid to even drive it to the shop without the temp sensor hooked up and I can't find the damn wire that is supposed to go to it.

I've had the same problem.....can't find the wire since I reassembled my truck....I just use datamaster to determine my temp....my green wire just disappeared....

Now that surprised me, guess I thought it was just me. I'd use datamaster except it's not working reliably for me Plus, it's not reliable, I had it working a couple of times, drove around and all was well, but somewhere along the way my radiator sprouted a leak, then I kept driving not knowing I was spewing coolant all over and overheated my truck, cracking a head (or so it looks right now). Which is why I'd really like to have that damn wire hooked up, where the hell could it have gone? I'll have to go over to my buddy's house next week and check out his truck, see if he still has his hooked up and I can trace it back to the endpoint.
