Cat Converter Shield

I am installing my PTE turbo kit and want to know if the cat can be installed less heat shield without heat problems. The stock heat shield is longer and there is no mounting on the new 3" cat. Seems like you would want the shield to protect the floor from heat.

Anyone with any experience with this?

Can the stock shield be adapted to work with the new cat?

Go ahead and install it w\o the heat shield. I"ve been running the PTE for almost a year now without any exhaust. The only thing that could happen is your passenger might get a hot foot. but I doubt that the heat shield would make much difference.
