well yeah u get what u pay for... but looks the same as the one on summit for $60..... whats a good cat for our trucks well I actually need one I live in cali....

Had a CatCo on my sy, went 12.4 with it.

I've been using a 3" CatCo unit for a year now with no problem. I run my best -in the sig- with it, stock turbo, 15 psi... Also made the emission test with it running 50's this year and I didn't even use the vallet program in Ultimate. So, I'd say it's working perfectly.

i am not saying one wont work - obv., it will.
but, quality is not to par, nor flow, nor durability.
and, a stock truck at 15 psi aint gonna challenge much of any 3" cat for airflow.

buy the best parts you can, the first time, and all will be better for you.
wasting money replacing inferior stuff is not a sound investment.

5 grand in motor and accessories and turbos etc etc and let's put a 30 dollar cat onit?
as i emailed to the first fella who took time to ask, good cats are out there - and not much more money.

i use on a few of my trucks the dynomax super cat. came out in second place in flow behind the same size random tech unit in a test a few years ago.
excellent price/performance compromise - i sell them for about 139-159 bucks, regularly, and dont have return issues with them - ie, good power, decent price, reliable - everyone wins.

Catco sells a few different sized converters. The cheaper catco is a rather small bodied unit.

Generally I agree, there are cases where you have to spend that money to get quality. On the other hand I can't see if something proved to work, why should I replace it just because it's cheap!? There are a lot things around these truck, which you can do for no money or with little money to improve things. For me these are the best mods... My exhaust has minimal back pressure and I'm emission legal... That's good enough for me.
