cheap intercooler

Is there a cheaper part you can buy besides a brand name itercooler, I think I remember someone talking about a core that wasnt realy meant for it but worked pretty good. any help.

Here's a site with a guy who did a dirt cheap intercooler.. http://www.msvorinich.itgo.com/index.htm for a turbo 4-cylinder SVO Mustang. I haven't seen much (if any) home-brew intercooler fabrication in the SyTy scene. Then again, the SyTys are not really junkyard-specials either. The Turbo 4-cyl FWD Dodge people also make their own intercoolers by raiding junkyards, might visit http://www.thedodgegarage.com and go to "Turbo Tech" if you want more info on that. Please let us know if you find success with this route, I'd be happy to follow your path..

There is a way to almost replicate the aux cooler setup made by ATR.

I forget if there is any websites on this?

Saab 9000 turbo and Volvo 740/760 turbo have pretty good size IC that you can pick up at the local junkyard for about $40-50
