i got the calbe from Bill, and its all good--I am having trouble syncin the PCM. I have tried the timing from 190-205 nothing at all...anyone have any idea on what i should do next to solve this problem??--Btw if anyone knows bills cable, i have the solid blue wire in the lower right pin.....and the cig lighter pluged in.

funny i have the same problem with the pcm not working and have also tried the 190-210 settings.

So are you getting link? Your first message made it sound like you weren't getting anything.

The instructions on the MoFo site explain VERY well on how to troubleshoot the issue. With the expection of the Hyperterm jumpering pins explaination - it should give you an indication if it is working. Does your COM Port work?

What problems are you getting?

My ALDL connection is working--I did the com port testing from TTS and it passed both...its just syncin PC--everyone is telling me its my timing....190-205, not one number works.....

this might sound absurd, but you do have the ingnition on when you are trying to link up?

Try starting from 1 on the timing then go up by 1 number from there. I had to do this on an old laptop and it finally work on like 6 or 7 for me.
 
What would cause it to link and record fine and then lose sinc? I keep getting a no aldl sign. Then I have to stop recording the run exit out then reopen the run. then it will link upfor a while with out moving the cable
