Decal placement templates??

My truck came without some of the decals. Now that it is in the body shop, I'd like to get the decal kit. Does anybody know where to get the decal templates? I'd like to replicate factory decal locations to the mm

I am not sure. I know the 92 to 93 typhoon has different sticker/decal locations

If anything, I'll eyeball pics online. There is another Sy in town. Hopefully, I can take a closer look.

I dont have the exact measurements right off the top of my head, but the Sy and the GMCTruck are placed inline with the portion of the reflector section of the taillight... basically, the bottom 2/3rds of the top section before it breaks into the reverse light portion.

Tom@Sportmachines may have the exact door placements. I have them somewhere, but they are on my external drive of archives.


I have aftermarket decals on my tailgate and they are slightly different from original, but I still placed them in the correct spot. I'll gladly measure them if you need. I dont have door decals on my truck at the moment, but have some to put on myself....

I found and used this a few years ago..........

GMC TRUCK The K should be 1 3/4" from the right edge of the tailgate and
the letters "GMC TRUCK" should be 1 3/4" above the bottom edge of the
tailgate.

Syclone Decal - From the bottom of the gate to the bottom *edge of the Y and N is roughly 5.75" ( +/- 1/16 due to tailgate angle on bottom edge). From the Left edge of the tailgate to the *edge of the "S" is 2.75".

GMCTruck Decal - From the bottom of the tailgate to the bottom edge of the GMCTruck measures 6.5" ( +/- 1/16 due to tailgate angle on bottom edge). From the right edge of the tailgate to the tip of the "k" measures 6 1/8"

* the edge is referring to measuring up to where the actual decal begins on the black border, NOT the red lettering

1. 4" from bottom of door
2. I have found that a "LEVEL LINE" can be established for all 3 truck decals and it is 4" from the bottom edge of the SY and the SoGT are both fairly consistant at 11" from the edge of

Eexample:

Take the SY decal that measures about 15.5 inches in width. That makes the horizontal center 7.75 inches from either end. Mark a point 11" from the doors edge and place the horizontal center there which would put the edge of the decal 3.25 inches from the doors edge.
