I was in Denver on Monday morning and met 3 members: TYTILIDIE, Ry368 and Abe (Not sure of his login).

We got picked up at the airport and had breakfast at Sam's, got a ride in Mike's truck and he let me drive it and do some boost launches.

Just wanted to post up how hospitable and friendly they were. Mike graciously bought breakfast for my girlfriend and I before I had a chance to pay, and this was after driving up from his place that morning.

It just made me wonder - what is it about these trucks that all the members seem to be so generous? Yes, there are some fools that come and get banned, but for the most part it's an impressive bond in an even more impressive community.

It's always nice to put a face to the names. Thanks guys!

I realize that when I just joined this week. Everyone is very welcoming and seems to genuinely interested in being part of the sy/ty community. I look forward to meeting some of you guys in the future.

Abe goes by Turbotyphoon69.

Mark, it was great to meet you and your girlfriend. Wish we had more time to shoot the shit, sounds like you have some really cool experiences to share. Hope you enjoyed driving the Ty, though its a rough ride I was happy to even be able to bring it since it snowed the day before.

I can only explain my generosity, it really boils down to me being generous as a person. But, I extend that to ANYONE in the SYTY world even if I don't know them or don't like them. Reason being, I think it takes a special person to own one of these things. Especially if you daily drive it. Takes money, knowledge and a huge endurance of pain. Not everyone has that in them. So when I meet a fellow owner, I assume he knows how I feel since he has the same nightmare in his garage.

As Abe said, these things are crap for the most part but the rarity and awesome factor for what they can do in stock form to expensive rides that are supposed to be of a higher class is priceless. The fact we are willing to even scoot one of these things down the road deserves some serious credit, especially when you're willing to drive it out of your county or state:lol: Me personally, I like to see these tings on the road so I am always willing to help out when I can. Making friends with the owners is a true bonus.

Again I'm glad we could meet up and glad you were able to leave Breckenridge with functioning legs:tup: Next time you're out we'll have to make something happen.

Not to stroke Mikes ego even more, but i will say thanks for helping me out the other night while i was stranded on I-25 in a snow storm. He brought me two fuel pumps and a sending unit, then bitched about how he could be sitting at home all warm and comfy. BUT..I made it home to Denver. Thanks lil buddy!

Good times. Abe was hilarious as well! Let him know if he needs some hookups in Scotland, I can help him out!

Austin, seriously, you are MAYBE 2" taller than me. But I kind of look like a monkey hanging form a banana tree don't I:lol:

Yeah, and I look like a midget what I stand around with all of my 6' coworkers (seriously, 90% of the people I work with are >6'). Still funny. Monkey boy.
