Diacom/TCC Shift Light

Got Boost?
I am using a TC lockup switch and my question is, according to Diacom, the TCC/Shiftlight does not switch on till approx 70 mph. I've tried using a paperclip, the switch, everything and I was under the impression that it should lock up sooner...
So anyone have any suggestions as where to start?
thanks

the tcc/shiftlight indicates when the computer wants to lock up the tc. it doesnt indicate when you lock up the tc w/ the lock up switch. if the brake is pressed tc lock up is disabled. a defective solenoid will prevent the tc from locking up even though the tcc/shiftlight says it is.

the computer decides when to lock up the tc based on a few parameters one of which is mph. certain aftermarket chips alter the tc lock up point. usually if your foot is totally mashed on the accelerator it will cause the computer to lock up the tc at a higher mph then if you are at mid throttle. thats most likely the reason the tcc/shiftlight does not switch on till approx 70mph.

Serious about performance
No. You use the TCC Lockup switch, and the computer is none the wiser. The switch works, but the computer has no idea and thinks it's still locking up at 69MPH.

Try this, cruise between 20-25 MPH and turn on the switch. You should immediately feel the truck bog and see the RPMs drop. But watch the DataMaster/Diacom and they WONT say the TCC Lock has occurred even though you just felt it yourself and saw it with your own eyes on the tachometer.
