differnt size tires on rims????/

I just ran across a good deal on some tires....I am running 255 40 18's all around but i can get 2 295 35's for a good deal do you think it will mess my truck up running these on the rear or look stupid...i dot not have the front diff in so if that makes a difference

Well if you're ever planning on putting the front dif back in while still running those tires, you may run into a problem. Tires front to back need to be within 1% overall diameter for the AWD system to function properly or at least not cause any problems with the system. But since you dont have your front drive hooked up it doesnt really matter.

Those are close to the same diameter. The new ones will be alittle taller though, I think it'll be alright and look good if your just using RWD.

Tire diameter for the 255s is 26", dia. for 295s is 26.1". So ya as for the AWD you'll be just fine. As for the sidewall size, you prob wont notice it at all since overall dia. is very close and you're running the same size wheel. (I've got 245/45 17 and 285/35 18s on mine and you CAN notice the sidewall, but the 17s have to make up an extra 1" so it's un-avoidable)

tirerack has 295/35/18's for $119 a piece on a closeout deal. depending on how good your current deal is though...
