Okay I'll admit it I am a pain in the butt. I have the truck almost back together.
I had to rotate the engine to set the valve lash and to verify TDC on number one.
I need to stab the distributor and set it up for bigstuff 3. I have read all of the stuff I could find on the web. I am still very lost. I have cut a dizzy cap so I can verify number one cylinders post. I need to know where to set the rotor in relation to the degree BTDC on the balancer.
Do I set it exactly to number one post while at TDC or do I phase it BTDC the amount of timing the engine will see at full power plus 5 degrees? I am so confused on this! someone
help me out before I drink myself into a stupor. LOL

I'm not sure how bigstuff is but I would recommend checking in the electrical forum on yellowbullet, they have a ton of people on there that know the system. I have a holley system and I know mine took quite a bit to setup, but I'm only using the distributor as a cam sync so that could be the reason mine was a lot of work.
I know with my setup I had to sit down and read the instructions I found for quite a while until I fully understood what it was looking for.

Set it just like you would for the stock ecu. Then start cranking turn the distributer until it wants too start. Once you get it running and up to temp check the box in the configure to test timing it has a window to put what you want. Say 32* then get your timing light out and turn the dizzy until it matches up on your timing light 32* Once this is done you can adjust the dwell time. Do this buy using your timing light again rev the engine and make sure timing stays on 32* make sure to slowly bring up the rpms and verified a solid steady 32*. If it drops off as you bring up the rpms you add some dwell time (Its in Milla Seconds) Make sure to uncheck the timing box when done !!
