Distributor woes

I bought a non ac delco distributor. And no matter what I do timing wise under boost it’s. It is not happy. So I got an ac delco reman. Thing is they don’t look exactly the same. Does it matter. Left is what I’m replacing which matches the rusty crusty one. On the right is the ac delco one.

It actually does work just fine! Made all the difference only us ac delco

Wonder how much if the issue is the pickup. Only use ACDelco on the spark pickup for sure.
