Drivers side window....

It has slid down some for some reason & is open about 3-4".
I have a lot of spiders around my house & I don't want them inside of the truck.
There is no battery in the truck & the complete electrical system under the hood is disconnected.
Where do I need to apply battery power under the hood to get just the window rolled up?
At the Fusible links?

Thanks

Re: Drivers side window....

Did you disconnect the battery cables too? If not, just connect a pair of jumper cables to a battery with the positive to the red cable and the negative to a good ground. Turn the key to "ON" and roll it up. I just had to do this myself less than two hours ago.

I'll have to go look at it. I'm not sure how I left it last.
From the battery power goes to the starter, the distribution block on firewall & alt. correct?

If you can ground to frame and apply power to the junction block on the firewall you can get power to roll it up.

No dice. I can get the door locks to operate, but no window motion.
I'll have to bust the schematics out.
For now I just put some painters tape over the opening.

Ya, it's got a Turbo
Re: Drivers side window....

Strange that it would go down all by itself. Something has come apart. I bet you could just pull it back up and tape it in place.

I don't know what would have broke since it hasn't been used since it worked last time. And it's always worked fine ever since I replaced the motor.
