Re: Drop

I would say it has 3" coils and 3" blocks by the looks of it, and yeah the front is a bit too low for every day driving on rough roads. That's why I suggest a 2" spindle drop up front, and 3" blocks in the rear to level it out and still be drivable.

What are the advantages of doing a 2" spindle vs. a 2" coil? Is ride quality better with the spindles? BTW, I never got a chance to thank you (or curse you) for posting the link for this truck in the internet finds.....

Ahhh, that's the truck eh, haha, glad someone got it, looks like a great start, all the good stuff is there.
Yeah a spindle drop does not change the suspension at all, just moves the wheel/hub up on the spindle, keeping everything suspension wise the exact same as factory. Same with blocks, they just move the axle up, keeping the spring rate the same.

Re: Drop

i got a 5/7 drop on my s10 and my blazer and they ride fine, well atleast to me they do. i wouldn't bother with bags.

EDIT: DAYUM that red sogt above looks sweeeet the way it sits. it's to bad your roads will tear it up, because it looks great at that height

I did 2" Eibach progressive rate spring drop on mine. I think it improved the ride compared to stock springs.

I always judge the ride by the number of times the cd player skips while going down the road, haha, and it used to skip a lot. But some of the roads around here suck too, so if you have good roads it would probably be fine. I went with bags just for fun, and couldn't believe the difference it made, but wouldn't really recommend them if you are driving it year round, unless you know how to take care of them. I also know that Michigan roads are pretty rough, so don't go with too much drop.

Re: Drop

coilovers are a great choice for the front is ride quality and level ride height is an issue.
